my dog has been licking his paws for a long time and as a first time dog owner, i never suspected anything other than his paws being red. subsequently, he was licking and scratching excessively on other parts of his body and my groomer alerted me that he has skin issues. it became so bad that he lost all his fur on the left underarm… so i brought him to a vet. i was told that he might be allergic to his kibbles, and i decided to change to Essential Foods based on the reviews and he is completely healed now. thank you :)
We’ve switched to Nautical Living so about 3 months and my dog is loving it. Our pup could be a lil picky sometimes but she always finishes her meal after switching to this. Her stools are healthy and firm too after switching.
We have an French Bulldog and we are keeping an eye out for any food sensitivities that may show as skin rashes etc. So far so good. She loves the food and she is growing well.
I've always been reluctant to trying out new brands as very few (actually only ONE) brand of kibbles was somewhat friendlier on the gut than most brands but even then it wasn't consistent (wettish poop sometimes) and the smell is terrible.
Tried Essentials, poop's great, and it wouldn't be right to say that poop smelled good, but there wasn't pungent poop smell too!
Looks like this is going to be the old brand I'll get for my dogs from now on!
